EMERGE Scholars overcome the odds. Then they change them.
EMERGE Scholars are leaders who, by persisting in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges, make room for those like them to follow. They are changing the face of selective colleges and universities. 90% of EMERGE scholars are involved in or leading campus organizations. 70% participate in research, study abroad programs, or prominent internships. 90% will be the first in their families to graduate from college. EMERGE Scholars are critical thinkers, problem solvers, community builders, and passionate advocates. Their impact is only beginning. To find out what a day in the life of a busy EMERGE Scholar is like, follow them on Snapchat @EMERGEScholars, where they showcase their campuses and give college advice to High School Fellows.
