Jaime Casap

A native of Hell’s Kitchen, New York, Jaime Casap, is the son of an Argentinian mother and Syrian father who was born into poverty and saw education as his way out.
Jaime is an author and global speaker on educational equity and access.

From speaking at the White House as part of Michelle Obama's Reach Higher Initiative to get more students of color to think about college to starting the Phoenix Coding Academy in 2016 as a way to get more students of color into computer science tracks to guest lecturing at Arizona State University, Jaime continues to impact transformation in the field and inspire a generation of young minds to pursue their dreams.
In Jaime’s role as the Education Evangelist at Google, Jaime evangelizes the power and potential of technology and the web to enable and support tools in pursuit of inquiry-based learning models. Jaime collaborates with school systems, educational organizations, and leaders around the world focused on building innovation into education policies and practices.
Jaime also serves on a number of boards for organizations focused on education and equity and was recently named as the ASU GSV 2018 Innovator of Color and received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from Felician University.
